The Styling Pilgrimage II
“COME AWAY O HUMAN CHILD! TO THE WATERS AND THE WILD; WITH A FAERY, HAND IN HAND. FOR THE WORLD MORE FULL OF WEEPING; THAN YOU CAN UNDERSTAND.” ~ W.B. YEATS, “THE STOLEN CHILD”
Stolen Child, part 1, was birthed by 3 days of collaborating, teaching, sharing and creating at our Styling Pilgrimage in Ireland this past October. Immortalized in the images captured so stunningly by Film Photographer Erich McVey we were able to convey the tale of an enchantingly bewitching woodland faery coaxing her lover into her wild world, away from the everyday disillusioned existence. Adorned in russet leaves, wispy silk tulle and delicate rose colored french lace delicately clinging to her body, she embodies her wild and magical realm. A bitter sweetness to her expressions of sadness, longing, and anticipation, culminates and is released by joy as she dances with her lover in the falling evening light.
The decision to host our gathering at home, erupted from a desire to portray true Irish hospitality as our visitors peeked into the world of Pearl and Godiva. Our intention was to leave our attendees with full hearts, cleansed visions and spirits of creativity that were much enlightened as they left the workshop to continue on their own paths of beauty and artistry.
